Executive Director for the newly merged organization, Jenny Ocón, began work on January 27. Jenny will be splitting her time equally between the two center locations, in Calistoga and St. Helena. Key employees are taking on essential roles in the new organization and current programs and services will continue to be offered at both centers. Says Jenny, "I am delighted to be leading the merger integration efforts of these two dynamic organizations as we continue the important work being done here. And, I'm thrilled to begin meeting our partner agencies and members of both communities in the coming weeks and months."
Kristen Georges, president-elect of the new board of Up Valley Family Centers says, "While our two organizations have worked closely together for years, this merger will give us an opportunity to provide more consistent service and expanded programs at both locations." Added Elaine Jones, executive committee board member, "It is a very exciting time for our centers. Looking to the future, we see greater efficiencies from the consolidated administration resulting from this merger, which will enable us to focus more funds on our clients."
