Student Assistance Program, SAP

PROVIDED BY: Calistoga Family Center

Students with overwhelming issues in their lives have a counselor they can turn to for help. The Student Assistance Program Coordinator will assist students to overcome obstacles in their lives and help them on their way to personal and academic success.

V.O.I.C.E.S.

PROVIDED BY: Calistoga Family Center, through the Student Assistance Program

Supports youth to develop a personal plan for success in the areas of education, employment and career development. Youth have access to the drop-in center for a variety of resources and 1:1 coaching. On the Move partners with employers all over the Napa Valley to provide internships and employment opportunities for eligible youth.

CLARO/CLARA - Challenging Latinos to Access Resources and Opportunities                         

PROVIDED BY: Calistoga Family Center, through the Student Assistance Program

Helps youth make positive life choices and stay away from gangs, or get out of them completely. The program helps Latino and Latina youth understand their culture and heritage and also explore who they want to become as individuals.

Academic Support

Third through sixth graders can participate after school in the Think Tank at Calistoga Elementary School. Students receive one hour of homework help, followed by an enrichment period, including activities such as: arts and crafts, SPARK fitness, model building, hip hop dance, and more. The junior high school students can find assistance with homework from the Eighth Period homework program, for 90 minutes after school, four days a week.

Migrant Education provided by the Calistoga Family Center, through the Student Assistance Program, SAP, provides tutoring and one-on-one support for children of migrant families to ensure that all migrant students reach challenging academic standards and graduate with a high school diploma (or complete a GED), to prepare them for responsible citizenship, further learning, and productive employment.

Individual and Family Counseling

If you feel overwhelmed, fearful, depressed or just desperate for someone to talk to, you don't have to deal with it alone. You can find help through professional, intensive, short-term counseling.

CATS - Calistoga After School Team for Success Program

PROVIDED BY: Calistoga Family Center

The CATS program is the Calistoga Family Center's after school program for junior high school students. A safe, adult-supervised program located on the junior high school campus that offers both academic and community enrichment in the form of homework help, computers, field trips, sports and social events.

After School Recreation

PROVIDED BY: Boys & Girls Club Teen Center

The Calistoga Teen Center is a safe, adult-supervised place for junior and senior high school students to go both after school and during summer vacation, located at the Monhoff Center in Calistoga.Teens are encouraged to participate in any of the activities offered including sports, homework help, classes, computers, field trips, or they can just hang out with friends. 

Boys & Girls Club Diversion Program

PROVIDED BY: Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Helena and Calistoga

Calistoga is a small town community that wants to treat its youth with respect, especially when they first begin showing signs of poor behavior and decision making. Youth who commit a first offense crime may qualify for the Diversion program, which provides voluntary support for young people and their families so that young people can avoid getting lost in the juvenile justice system.

Drug and Alcohol Counseling

PROVIDED BY: Wolfe Center

Do you or a young person you care for have a problem with a drug or alcohol addiction? You are not alone. Acquire the knowledge, skills and support to regain your personal strength, self-confidence and your life, and to live free of chemical dependency. Services include drug and alcohol use screenings, prevention groups and out-patient treatment for young people.
